Before you can download WhatsApp in the Deployteq Store, you will first need to make preparations in the Meta Business Suite. The one-time steps you need to take for this are described in this guide.

Please note! During the installation of WhatsApp in Deployteq, you will need the Business ID and access token from the Meta account.

How do you create a new template within Meta Business Suite?

In Meta Business Suite, you will find the WhatsApp management. Here you can create chat message templates (per language). A message consists of three zones.

  • header
  • message body
  • footer

Filling of the header - optional

In the header, you can place text or media.

The media option has the following possibilities:

  • Image
  • Video
  • Document
  • Location

Filling of the message body - required

In this section, you fill in the text of the WhatsApp message. The message texts are dynamic: you can use variables to retrieve (customer) data from Deployteq during sending. The templates you create here can be selected from a dropdown in the Deployteq campaign object. For an explanation, refer to the 'Configuration in Deployteq' guide.

Pay attention!

There is a character limit for a WhatsApp message. You can see the number of characters in the top right corner of the text field. By default, this number is 1024. However, this number can vary if you use variables in your text.

You can only edit a message once every 24 hours. Therefore, make sure that the text you enter is indeed correct!

Filling of the footer - optional

At the bottom of the WhatsApp message, you can optionally add a short text.

Here you also have the option to add 'Quick Reply Buttons'. You can attach a URL behind a button. At this stage, you can only use a static URL here, not a dynamic one.

The URL you enter here will be displayed at the bottom of the chat message as a link, as shown in the screenshot below:

Once you start sending messages, you can also view various statistics here.
