Requirements

  • Facebook business account
  • Phonenumber (Available upon request from Deployteq if needed)
    • Should be able to receive calls or SMS messages
    • Not previously linked with WhatsApp
    • Do not use your personal number for this

Link Spryng to Meta WhatsApp

Navigate to the Spryng portal and log in with your account: https://portal.spryngsms.com/. These credentials would have been provided by the TPM earlier. If these credentials have not been provided yet, please contact your account manager or project manager.
Next, navigate to "Link WhatsApp" located in the left menu. Then click on the "Link a new number" button to start the setup process.


 


Then, proceed through the necessary steps and click on the "Create your WhatsApp channel" button at the last step.


A window will then open allowing you to link with Meta. For this, you'll need to log in with the account that has access to the Facebook Business Suite.


After logging in, fill in the necessary details. At the step "Create or select your WhatsApp Business account," choose the option to create one.


In the second-to-last step, you will be asked to provide the phone number for using WhatsApp. Enter the desired number here and proceed with the verification in the next step.


Set up the payment method

After linking the number, it's important to set up a payment method. Without a payment method, it's unfortunately not possible to send messages.

Navigate to: https://business.facebook.com/billing_hub/payment_methods

On the page, select "WhatsApp Business Accounts" and make sure the correct account is selected.

Then, click on the "Add Payment Method" button.


After clicking on the "Add Payment Method" button, a window will appear with the available payment methods. Choose the option "Commify" and proceed to set it up by following the steps.


Install WhatsApp in Deployteq

Installation via the Store

Navigate within your portal to the store and select the integration "WhatsApp," then proceed to follow the installation wizard.


After completing the installation wizard, a new menu item "WhatsApp" is available under the "Integrations" section. Open this page to fill in the WhatsApp details.

Activating WhatsApp

On this page, the following information can be filled in:

Business ID

Fill in the "WhatsApp Business Account ID" here. This can be found within the Spryng account under the page "Link WhatsApp." This is the same page where earlier steps were taken to link with Facebook. Here, you will also find a list of all the connections that have been made and the corresponding "WhatsApp Business Account IDs."

Access token

The access token can be requested through the "Security" section, located in the left menu of Spryng. Navigate to this page and then click on the button "Generate API key." A window will then appear with the steps for retrieving the access token.

Please note! Be sure to securely store the access token as it is only shown once. It is possible to request new/multiple tokens if needed.

After all the information has been correctly filled in, you can click on the "Save" button, and WhatsApp is ready for use within Deployteq.
