In this chapter, we will explain how the template works and how you can fill it. The template contains several zones. A zone is an area in which objects (news reports or articles) can be placed. There are zones for header objects, content, and footers. Not all objects can be placed in every zone. This is determined by specifying in the template which objects are permitted in which zones. If an object is not permitted in a zone, it will not be possible to place it there. This ensures that your e-mail always looks good regardless of who creates it and that a footer cannot be placed in the middle of the e-mail.

A filled zone:

An emtpy zone:

You’ll find the library of objects for your e-mail on the right-hand side. Use these objects to fill your e-mail. Objects are the building blocks of the e-mail that can be used to construct the e-mail to the user’s requirements. Drag objects from the library to a zone to build your e-mail and fill it with content.

The e-mail clients Gmail and Yahoo have a maximum size of 100 KB. If the e-mail exceeds 100 KB, it will immediately be cut off. This results in an incorrect representation of the e-mail sent. So keep this in mind when creating e-mails. Do not post too many articles in one e-mail and always test the e-mail in one of these e-mail clients.
